The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has updated the schedule for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup 2024, which will be held in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, from July 19 to July 28, 2024.

India will kick off their campaign against Pakistan in their first group match, while the opening match will feature UAE against Nepal.

In the last tournament in 2022, held in Bangladesh, India secured their seventh title by defeating Sri Lanka in the final with an eight-wicket victory. Originally planned for 2020, the tournament was postponed twice, first to 2021 and then to 2022, due to COVID-19.

Exciting Updates and Team Lineups for Women’s Asia Cup 2024

This year’s edition will include eight teams, one more than the 2022 edition. Alongside India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, the lineup will feature UAE, Malaysia, Nepal, and Thailand, who were semifinalists in the Women’s Premier Cup 2024.

All match officials for the tournament will be female, continuing the successful precedent set in the previous edition.
