Delhi Capitals women go head-to-head against RCB women in Delhi on Sunday, March 10. This is DC’s third home game while the second for the Banglore side. Delhi have won both their games at home while RCB Women lost to Gujarat Giants in their previous match.

RCB won their last home game in Bengaluru against UP Warriorz with skipper Smriti Mandhana playing a match-winning knock and scoring 80. This was her second fifty-plus score in this year’s WPL. They now face a stiff Test from DC women who have won both their games at home.

Delhi Capitals Women led by Meg Lanning defeated Mumbai Indians women and lost to UP Warriors in two back-to-back games at home. The team batting first has won all the matches in the Delhi leg. Chasing has been very difficult in Delhi with the bowlers coming into their own.

This is the biggest difference that has been in the two venues in the tournament so far. The difference in weather conditions has also added to the fact that teams need to adjust themselves to the ground conditions as well.

Interestingly, RCB Women are yet to win against Delhi Capitals women in the WPL. They lost both their games against DC last season. In the first game earlier this season, RCB failed to chase down 195 as they fell short by 25 runs. Mandhana scored 74 in that game in a losing cause.Delhi Capitals Women won the toss opt to bat

Women’s Premier League: Who said what at the toss?

Smriti Mandhana: We were looking to bat first as well. It’s keeping a little low. We don’t mind chasing as well. We have three changes in the team. Yesterday we had a good session, girls in a good state. Pressure has been there from the first match, I think pressure does good things to players.

Meg Lanning: We will bat first tonight. Looks a good surface. There will be a bit in it for the bowlers, if they pitch it in the right areas. Kapp comes in. It’s a long tournament. can be hard for the bowlers. We’ll see how the conditions work and see from there.
