In the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, India batter Suryakumar Yadav and Pakistan captain Babar Azam now occupy the second and third positions, respectively, by just a few rating points.

After scoring a match-winning 69 off 36 deliveries in the third match in Hyderabad on Sunday, which helped clinch the series 2-1, Yadav is up to a career-best-equaling second position in the latest weekly update that takes into account performances in the second and third matches of the India-Australia series.

Babar was named Player of the Match for an unbeaten 110 in the second T20I of their ongoing seven-match series against Australia. He followed that up with scores of eight and 36 in the third and fourth matches, which were also played over the past week. Babar had occupied the No. 1 position for 1,155 days before being overtaken by teammate Mohammad Rizwan early this month.

With scores of 46 not out and 17, India captain Rohit Sharma moved up one spot to 13th, while Australia players Matthew Wade moved up six spots to 62nd, Cameron Green moved up 31 spots to 67th, and Tim David moved up 202 spots to 109th.In the series’ final match, Green and David scored half-centuries.

India spinners Axar Patel (up from 33rd to 18th) and Yuzvendra Chahal (up from 28th to 26th) have moved up the bowlers’ list, which still has Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood leading the way.

Ben Ducket has risen 1,070 places to 32nd position after scoring 43, 70 not out, and 33 in those three matches, while England batsman Harry Brook has risen 118 places to 29th position with scores of 31, 81 not out, and 34 in Pakistan.

Reece Topley has moved up 14 spots to 23rd and is now the third-highest-ranked England bowler, behind Chris Jordan and Adil Rashid. Pakistan’s speedster Haris Rauf has moved up seven spots to 14th after taking five wickets in the three matches he has played recently.Sam Curran, who moved up five spots to 47th, and Mark Wood, who moved up 29 places to 40th, have also made progress.

After scoring 49 against Papua New Guinea (PNG), Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus has moved up 38 places to joint-49th in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, while USA captain Monank Patel has moved up three places to 53rd in the batters’ list. These rankings are based on performances in five matches of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 in Port Morseby.

Among bowlers, Saurabh Netravalkar, a left-arm fast bowler from the United States, has moved up one spot to 40th and Chad Soper, a PNG bowler, has moved up two spots to 47th.
