With the stunning performance, Yashasvi Jaiswal etched his name in the annals of Indian cricket history by notching a remarkable double century against England in the fourth test match held in Rajkot. With this stellar performance, Jaiswal joined an illustrious list of Indian cricketers who have achieved the feat of scoring double centuries against a single opposition on two occasions.
After retiring hurt on 104 overnight, Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to the crease when the third wicket fell and went on to score a double century in just 231 balls, setting numerous records in the process. He became the first Indian to turn his first three hundred into scores of 150 or more.

Jaiswal also hit the most sixes in a bilateral Test series, surpassing Rohit Sharma’s previous record. Since his debut in July 2023, no batter has hit more Test sixes than Jaiswal.
He joined an elite group of Indian batters by scoring two double centuries in a series, a feat achieved previously only by Vinoo Mankad and Virat Kohli. Additionally, he matched Wasim Akram’s record for the most sixes in a Test innings.
At just 21 years old, Jaiswal became the third-youngest player to score two Test double centuries, trailing behind only Vinod Kambli and Don Bradman. Not stopping there, Jaiswal also broke Sourav Ganguly’s record for the most runs by an Indian left-hander in a Test series at home, accumulating an impressive 545 runs.
