Bangladesh has left no option but to win the 2nd Test match against Zimbabwe if they want to level the two-match series; Zimbabwe is already holding the lead by 0-1. In the recent past, before the ongoing series, they had a very poor run in the Test format. Out of the last 5 matches, Bangladesh won only 1, and Zimbabwe lost 4 and drew a match.
Before the series, on home soil, Team Bangladesh was the clear favorite to win the first match as well as the series. But Zimbabwe showed a better performance over the host team and claimed the first Test match. Only a draw will be enough for the visiting side to make the series their own.
In a wet climate, bowlers from both teams did their job well, but the batters struggled in most of the game. Blessing Muzarabani took a total of 9 wickets in the first, and Bangladesh bowler Mehidy Hasan Miraz completed his 10-wicket haul. Teams need to work more with their batting during the season to avoid a batting collapse.
