The sport of cricket has unleashed several faces and representatives across various departments of the game. India is one of the epitomes behind producing such emerging and experienced candidates. When it comes to the batting aspect, several stars have been aroused. But only a few Indian batters have scored centuries in all three forms. This feat is rare among hitters who have played the game, with only a handful of players worldwide achieving this milestone.

Scoring a century across all forms under likely challenging conditions is a difficult task that demonstrates their talent and calibre. Only a few Indian players have reached this milestone; let's look at the only five Indian batters who have scored at least one century in all three formats of cricket.

Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina, the swashbuckling former middle-order batter, became the first Indian player to achieve a century in all three formats of cricket. Raina scored his first ODI century against Hong Kong at the Asia Cup 2008 in Karachi. Two years later, he scored his first T20I century against South Africa at the ICC T20 World Cup 2010 in the West Indies.

In July, he made his test debut against Sri Lanka in the same year and scored a century. He became the first Indian hitter to score at least one century in all three game formats. He finished his career with five ODI centuries and one century each in tests and T20Is.

Rohit Sharma

The 2024 T20 World Cup-winning captain, Rohit Sharma, has the most hundreds in T20I cricket. Rohit Sharma has scored five T20I hundreds in his career. He is also among the hitters who have scored at least one century across all the formats of the game.

Rohit Sharma has an incredible record, scoring twelve hundreds in Test cricket, thirty-one in One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and five in Twenty20 Internationals. Rohit's first test century came way back in 2013, against West Indies in his debut test. He scored his first ODI century against Zimbabwe in 2010 and his first T20I century against South Africa in 2015.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli, the star Indian batsman, joined this select list after smashing his maiden T20I century against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022. Virat Kohli's first ODI century was against Sri Lanka in 2009. Three years later, in 2012, he scored his first Test century against Australia in Adelaide.

With consistency throughout the years, he has 29 hundreds in tests, 50 in ODIs, and only one in T20Is. In November 2023, he broke Sachin Tendulkar's record for most centuries in ODI cricket against New Zealand in the 2023 CWC semi-finals in front of a massive fan base and the God of Cricket himself.

KL Rahul

KL Rahul has established himself as a vital member of the Indian playing XI as a wicketkeeper batter, even though several injuries have hindered him. Rahul is also one of the few Indian hitters who has scored a century in all three forms. KL Rahul is the first Indian batsman to get a century on ODI debut.

KL Rahul has scored eight hundreds in tests, seven in ODIs, and two in T20Is during his career. He scored his first test century in the second test of his career against Australia at the SCG in 2015. In June 2016, he made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe and scored his first century. In August of the same year, he scored his first T20I century against the West Indies at Lauderhill.

Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill, the emerging Indian opener, is the most recent addition to India's elite cricketing records roster. In his budding career trajectory, he has made four centuries in tests, six in ODIs, and one in T20Is. Shubman Gill scored his first international century in August 2022, hitting 130 against Zimbabwe in an ODI at Harare. Later in the same year, Gill scored his first test century against Bangladesh at Chattogram.

In February 2023, he scored his sole T20I century against New Zealand in Ahmedabad. In the coming days, the opener-batter from Punjab will play a pivotal role in bolstering the Indian batting side and trying to create and break a few records in the game.
