The previous highest total in IPL was 263 for five achieved by Royal Challengers Bangalore back in 2013.

Young pacer Kwena Maphaka endured a torrid time on his IPL debut as he bore the brunt of Travis Head’s aggressive batting. Conceding a hefty 66 runs in his four overs, Maphaka was on the receiving end of the Sunrisers Hyderabad onslaught.
With a colossal total of 277/3 on the scoreboard, Sunrisers Hyderabad etched their name in the IPL history books. Their breathtaking display of batting prowess will be remembered as one of the most dominant performances in the tournament’s history. SRH break an 11-year-old record. The previous highest total in IPL was 263 for five achieved by Royal Challengers Bangalore back in 2013.
While Sunrisers Hyderabad’s total is the highest in IPL history, it falls short of the overall T20 record. Nepal’s monumental total of 314/3 against Mongolia in the 2023 Asian Games remains the highest team total in the game’s shortest format.
