In this match, Jasprit Bumrah's ability to be a dangerous bowler in the game's shortest format proved vital. India needed wickets and dot balls as Pakistan encountered a modest 120-run target, and Bumrah was up for the challenge. Preying on Pakistan's natural caution on a tricky surface, Bumrah first dismissed captain Babar Azam with a length ball that snuck in, nicked an edge, and went to Suryakumar Yadav at first slip.
Mohammad Rizwan is more suited to circumstances like these, but Bumrah got the best of him, tempting him with a swinging length ball that Rizwan believed was full enough for a crazy slog. Bumrah delivered an angled-in low full toss that Iftikhar Ahmed couldn't get his bat beneath. After winning the match by a close 6-run margin, Jasprit Bumrah was awarded the Player of the Match.
