The veterans are back. Colombo Stars coming back marks the return of Angelo Mathews in T20 Cricket, while Dinesh Chandimal and Suranga Lakmal are also there. The trio were once key members for Sri Lanka across formats and will now unite again for Colombo.
Kandy Warriors though are far from being easy opponents. They have the most happening Sri Lankan player in the team at the moment. In Wanindu Hasaranga, Kandy has a player who can spin his side to victory on his own.

The Weather at Hambantota is pretty good for the upcoming game.
The Hambantota track is slow and low and will spin as the game progresses. Batting first is a better option.

With fitness issues and later payment issues, Angelo Mathews ended up going away from white-ball cricket. He is still available for selection, and with a World Cup coming up next year, the upcoming tournament is very crucial for him as he looks to prove his worth in the white-ball team.
Wanindu Hasaranga is easily the best player in Sri Lanka at the moment. He has a good line-up supporting, and his leg-spin will be all the more dangerous with players to fall back on in his team. He is heading into this prime, and will want to make the most of a tournament he has had success in.
Colombo Stars have some really good players, and a lot of experience with a set of veterans in their line-up. Kandy Warriors have Wanindu Hasaranga though, to go with a talented set of players. Picking a winner out of the two is a tough ask, but with the Hasaranga factor, Kandy may find themselves confident.
