Mumbai Indians will travel to Delhi as they lock horns against Delhi Capitals in match number 16 of the IPL 2023 on 11th April 2023 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Mumbai Indians, come into the contest after being hammered by two of the biggest rivals in the cash-rich league. They lost their away game against RCB and their home game against CSK. As far as batting department is concerned, Tilak Varma is the only positive for Mumbai Indians, he has aggregated 106 runs with an impressive average of 106 in two games and all those runs have come at a strike rate of 165.62.
Cameron Green, the player whom MI went all-out in the auction has not lived up the expectations, he bagged 17.5 cr in the auction but has just scored 17 runs in two games. MI bowlers were taken to the cleaners in both games, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis toyed with MI bowlers in the first game while Ajinkya Rahane smashed the fastest fifty of IPL 2023 in MI’s second game. They would look to seek improved performances in both departments so as to bounce back the winning ways.
Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, have come into the contest as similar as that of their opponents, the only difference is DC has played one game more than MI. With three losses in three games, DC are placed at the bottom of the points table.
No matter other than David Warner has stood up for them, Warner has aggregated 158 runs at an average of 52.67 and two half-centuries. Warner &co too would seek improved performances in both the department and will really need their big players to step up if at all they need to go big in the tournament.
