England are off to a good start with a win. They did struggle against spin a little but should find fewer hurdles as Ireland’s spin unit is not as solid. They wobbled in the opening match, as England found a low chase challenging. Had Afghanistan managed another 20 runs the game could have gone another way, but it was still pretty good to watch.
Ireland has fought their way into the second round and are up against a strong opponent now. While England is probably the best white-ball team going around now, Ireland may have some slight hope coming in. They have good memories against England in multi-national events going all the way back to Bangalore in 2011, and while the format is different, this is probably Ireland’s best chance at causing an upset.

The storm seems to have blown away and a full game should be on the cards at Melbourne.
Early season Melbourne is swinging a lot. There is a lot happening for the pacers and batting first will be a better option given the pressure that could be applied in the second half.
Jos Buttler, Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Ben Stokes, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Dawid Willey, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Chris Jordan.
Andrew Balbernie (c), Paul Stirling, Lorcan Tucker (wk), Harry Tector, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Curtis Campher, Mark Adair, Simi Singh, Barry McCarthy, Joshua Little
In his first T20I World Cup, Mark Wood is having a really good time. His pace has been top notch and he is running through batting line-ups with ease using his fierce pace and bounce. With Melbourne helping pacers, his early spell will be a sight to see for sure.
Over the last year, Josh Little has impressed a lot. He has pace, he is young and he is already proving that he can lead an attack. A good spell from him up front will be key for Ireland as they will rely on him for consistent breakthroughs throughout the innings.

England are easily favorites here. They possess a strong batting line-up and with Ben Stokes and Mark Wood delivering, an easy win is on the cards.
