England women have been performing brilliantly in the T20 World cup and will look to continue this excellent form in the semi-finals as well. They thrashed Pakistan in their last group match by 114 runs. They set a target of 214 runs in 20 overs after a splendid performance with the bat. Pakistan was never in the game as they managed only 99 runs while losing 9 wickets. South Africa women’s journey to the semi-finals has been nothing short of an inspiration and magical. They had to win their final match against Bangladesh by a big margin to qualify and they did just that.

The pitch at Newlands is a batting friendly paradise and we have seen teams register big totals. Also, the pitch has something in it for the seamers and the slow bowlers too.

In this do-or-die contest, both teams will have a go at each other and press hard for a win. At this stage, it is difficult to predict an obvious winner. England-W would be riding high on confidence after winning 4 out of 4 fixtures. They would appear to be a much-relaxed side after knowing that they have an impressive record against Proteas Women in WT20I. However, by looking at England-W’s unbeaten record in this year’s World Cup, we expect England-W to sneak in with a narrow win in this closely contested encounter. Considering the team combination, England-W is expected to win this match.
