India and England are ready for the second game of the five-match T20I series at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai, which is set to be played on Saturday (January 25) evening.
Hosts India are leading this series by 1-0 after winning the T20I series opener at Kolkata by seven wickets. While the Indian bowlers restricted the visitors to 132 runs, the hosts chased down the target in 12.5 overs after losing three wickets. Spinner Varun Chakravarthy won the Player of the Match award for his incredible bowling figures of 4-0-23-3. It was his first Player of the Match award in his international career.

It will be the third T20I at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai. Both the previous Chepauk T20Is were decided on the last ball of the match. In September 2012, this venue hosted its first T20I, and New Zealand won that by one run. After the Blackcaps scored 167/5, India replied with 166/4, as India failed to score four runs on the final ball.
In November 2018, India beat West Indies by six wickets at this venue after chasing the 182-run target with a match-winning single on the last ball of the match.
