After a one-sided first ODI in Johannesburg in which India won by 8 wickets with 200 balls remaining, South Africa and India face off in the second ODI in Gqeberha on Tuesday afternoon. South Africa were bowled out for 116 on Sunday and will need to bat better in this one-day international. South Africa’s experienced batters let them down in Sunday’s one-day international, with Tony de Zorzi and Andile Phehlukwayo scoring the majority of their runs. After an equally impressive T20I performance in Johannesburg on Thursday, India was exceptional with the ball on Sunday. They can expect South Africa to be stronger with the bat in this game.

This will be the first ODI at this venue since 2019, but we saw in the T20I that there is good pace in the wicket for quick bowlers and stroke-makers to exploit.
On Tuesday, there will be a lot of cloud cover and humidity, according to the forecast. There will be no rain, and the temperature will remain above 20 degrees throughout.

India dominated at the Wanderers Stadium on Sunday, and South Africa must respond in this game or risk losing the series at the first opportunity. The hosts can put the pressure back on India with a stronger batting display, and we expect that to happen in this game. Overall, India appears to be the more confident and stronger side. Considering the team combination, India is expected to win this match.
