After 20 high quality group stage games in the Women’s Premier League, we go into the Play-Offs with the Eliminator which sees Mumbai Indians go head to head with UP Warriorz. Mumbai Indians finished in second place with 12 points. UP Warriorz were one place and four points behind. Mumbai Indians had a slight wobble towards the end of the group stage but returned to winning ways against Royal Challengers Bangalore. They have a team full of quality and look to be back to their best. UP Warriorz have already shown in the tournament that they have the players to beat Mumbai Indians.

This looks like being a really entertaining contest between two of the strongest sides in the tournament so far. Although Mumbai Indians finished four points above UP Warriorz, they won only one of their last three games whereas the Warriorz won two of their final three. The middle-order batting of Grace Harris and Tahlia McGrath will be crucial for UP Warriorz but we think Mumbai Indians have the bowlers and the batters to get the victory. We are backing Mumbai Indians to win and go forward to Sunday’s WPL Final against Delhi Capitals. Considering the team combination, Mumbai Indians Women is expected to win this match.
