After experiencing undoubtedly the greatest T20I match in history, South Africa and West Indies will square off for the third time in a row on Tuesday at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg to decide the outcome of their respective series. After a combined total of 517 was scored in less than 40 overs in the second T20I, the stage is set for an epic contest between these two nations. South Africa scored 259 runs in 20 overs at the Centurian, the highest-ever chase in T20 international history. Breaking their three-game losing streak in the format, the Proteas not only kept the series alive, but did so in style, led by their marquee southpaw Quinton de Kock.

The pitch helps the batsmen to ooze into their groove with fast bowlers not getting enough bounce and swing out of it. However, spinners can get an unexpected turn in the middle overs.

Looking at both squads, the West Indies batting unit looks more dangerous than South Africa’s. There is no doubt in stating that the 3rd T20I does have the ingredients and potential to go down the wire. With both teams having their marquee batsman in fine form, their respective spinners might be the x-factor in deciding the outcome of this game. Citing this, we predict South Africa to beat West Indies to clinch the series 2-1 in Johannesburg. Considering the team combination, South Africa is expected to win this match.
