The most awaited sixteenth edition of Indian Premier League is set to kick-start on 31st March 2023, at the famous Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The defending Champions Gujarat Titans will face the four-time champions in the opener. After three long years the Indian Premier League will have home and away advantage contests.
Hardik Pandya-led GT had the best of IPL in their first season with twelve games on the winning side out of sixteen games. It was entire team effort, every individual chipped in with runs and wickets at different situations. The addition of Kane Williamson will add extra balance to the already good-looking batting unit. GT will miss the services of their key player David Miller in the first match due to National Duty.
Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, had a IPL to forget in 2022 and that was just the second time they failed to qualify to playoffs. The return of Deepak Chahar and the addition of Ben Stokes would see the balance in both the departments and also brighten the chances of winning more matches in the league. New Zealand opening batter Devon Conway is in sublime form this year and would look to continue his form going forward. MS Dhoni would be seen in yellow-jersey for one last time in this season and would be looking to end his career on a high.
