Hardik Pandya regaining back his footing, bettering himself every single day
Hardik Pandya’s return is a key towards his own goal. The Gujarat Titans captain makes a strong comeback and is here to stay.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to make yet another strong impression as the captain of Gujarat Titans after having been absent from competitive cricket since T20 World Cup 2021 due to his severe injury.
Pandya announced himself as unavailable for selection after the 2021 incident. The 28-year old was released by the Mumbai Indians during his vacation and he was eventually signed by Gujarat Titans and deemed Captain. He claims in the interviews that this break was his time of self-discovery and reflection of what he seeks in the future and was determined to better his health to secure his team’s victory.
The GT captain says in concern of IPL 2022 that he is excited to face the new season and test out his efforts and if his hard work will lead him back to competitive cricket again. Much to everyone’s delight Hardik Pandya cleared his fitness test at the NCA prior to IPL 2022. He had been demoted from Grade A to C in the BCCI central contracts and had recently appeared for a general assessment at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, where he bowled and passed the ‘Yo-Yo’ test conveniently. Pointing back to his self actualisation during his injury lay-off Pandya is determined to get back into the game with full force and see how his hard work will reward him. He claims this is not his absolute comeback as he is still ‘a work in progress’.
Hardik Pandya was unable to find a place in the Indian team for the last few series against New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies and Sri Lanka. “I was just spending time with my family, working hard as always. (I’m) making sure I prepare well. For me, it was a time of self realizing a lot of think about what I want and what will work for me going forward and I got this answers during this time,” Hardik had mentioned to the IPL website.
“Eventually if I do things right for Gujarat Titans in the IPL, then things will fall into place for the future as well. I am just a work in progress right now but for me, what will be important is that I will always be available for the players no matter what time and day. I want to give the players security and freedom.”, he further added.
Hardik Pandya expressed his gratitude to Mumbai Indians as he made his first appearance in the IPL in 2015 for the team. “I am very grateful to Mumbai Indians. I played international cricket for the Mumbai Indians. I have achieved a lot and it was close to my heart but now I am looking forward to new opportunities,” Pandya said.
Fans all wait in excitement for the captain as Gujarat Titans are all set to take on Punjab Kings in Match 16 of IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium on 8th April 2022.
