Suryakumar Yadav has uploaded a picture of himself with Mumbai Indians teammate Rohit Sharma in Bengaluru. Due to a hamstring injury, India’s white-ball skipper Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the three-test and three one-day international series against South Africa. Suryakumar’s latest social media post features a photo that he posted with Rohit at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday. Suryakumar put in the caption of the photo, “Hey b-Ro.” Suryakumar has been included in India’s ODI team for the upcoming series against South Africa.
During the announcement of the squad for India’s three ODIs in South Africa, Team India chief selector Chetan Sharma stated that the management did not want to hurry Rohit back into the team. “Rohit Sharma is ill, in rehab, and will not play in the ODI series against South Africa. His fitness is something he is focusing on and improving. We didn’t want to take a chance with him, so we didn’t.” Before announcing the team, Sharma explained.
“We believe in and trust KL Rahul. He has demonstrated his ability to lead. KL is the most capable at handling the side. He is an all-format player with captaincy experience… this is what all selectors believe “Added Sharma. The three-match One-Day International series will begin on January 19 in Paarl. The second match will take place on January 21 in Paarl, with the third match taking place on January 23 in Cape Town.
