IND vs AUS: Over the years, India and Australia have had some memorable Test cricket matches, under Border-Gavaskar Test(BGT) series. With a pool of legends on both sides, both teams have produced some of the most excitingly contested Test matches.
About the bowlers, it is impossible to win Tests without your bowlers taking wickets, regardless of how many runs your batters have scored. The highest wicket-scalpers in the BGT series are listed below.
The most wickets for IND vs AUS: Nathan Lyon- 113 Wickets
With 113 wickets in 46 innings at an average of 31.92, Nathan Lyon is the only Australian & highest wicket-taker in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy stint. His best bowling stats of eight for 50 in an innings came in Bengaluru in 2017 on a shifting surface where Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin each took six wickets in either session to help India win the second Test by 75 runs.

Anil Kumble- 111 Wickets
Kumble, the famous spinner, leads the attack, having taken 111 wickets in 20 Tests against Australia, including 10 five-wicket hauls and two 10-fers. Of his 111 Test scalps, 62 came while playing in India and 49 while playing in Australia.
Kumble’s command of the ball, as well as his ability to extract turn and bounce, makes him a difficult opponent for Australia’s well-equipped batting lineup. He was particularly effective on the subcontinent, where the spinning conditions were favorable.
Ravichandran Ashwin- 107 Wickets
Ravichandran Ashwin has been India’s go-to spinner in Test cricket in recent years, having made his Test debut in 2011. He has 107 Test wickets in 21 games against Australia, 68 in India, and 39 in Australia. The off-spinner took these wickets at an average of 28.83 and with a top economy rate of 2.74.
