While two bowling heavy-weights take each other on in the first Semi-Finals, the second is all about two batting heavy-weights. India faced England in a T20 series earlier this year, and won with relative ease. Jos Buttler was new as a full-time England captain then, and now, England are a transformed side. They are showing wonderful flexibility and maturity this year, as the bowling and batting both have stepped up according to the situation.
After failing to make the Semis in the last World Cup, India are finally back in the top four. Now the question is, can they break their Semi-Finals curse. Three of their last five multi-national events saw India losing in the Semi-Finals. The team is still pretty strong, sticking to its own template, and Suryakumar Yadav’s form in particular has been a huge plus.

Date: November 10th 2022
Time: 1:30 PM IST
Venue: Adelaide Oval
The weather is good and a full game is on the cards.
The Adelaide track looks good for batting with early movement. Batting first is a better option.
Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, Arshdeep Singh
Jos Buttler, Alex Hales, Dawid Malan/Phil Salt, Ben Stokes, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Chris Woakes, Sam Curran, Mark Wood
Suryakumar Yadav is the man of the moment right now. His ability to access any part of the ground, and get into the most unbelievable positions to manufacture shots is proof of his ability to make magic happen out in the middle. Facing England, a good 15 balls for him out in the middle could make the difference on the Semi-Finals.
Batting with maturity, Ben Stokes proved his worth with the bat. He is already doing a good job silently with the ball, but now that he has spent some nice time out in the middle, his batting could go on to make further impact in the coming games.

Two batting heavy teams, two strong sides, and an interesting semi-final match-up. Picking out a winner seems tough but given India’s recent record in knockout games, England are likely to be favorites.
