Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is on the verge of setting a significant record in the game’s shortest format with India’s three-match T20I series against New Zealand. Bhuvneshwar will be the bowler with the most wickets in a calendar year if he takes four against New Zealand in the series.

He has taken 36 wickets in 30 matches so far in 2022.
Joshua Brian Little of Ireland holds the record for the most wickets taken in a calendar year.Little, who performed admirably at the T20 World Cup, has taken 39 wickets in 2022. Bhuvneshwar became India’s all-time leading wicket-taker in the shortest format during the T20 World Cup.In the game’s shortest format, Bhuvneshwar has taken 89 wickets in total. He has represented Team India in 85 T20Is.
India will play three T20Is, followed by as many ODIs, against the Kiwis.
The first T20I will be played at the Sky Stadium in Wellington on Friday, November 18.
