India and New Zealand begin their three match ODI series on Wednesday afternoon in Hyderabad. The hosts come into this series after beating Sri Lanka 3-0 in a series earlier this month. New Zealand came back from losing their first game against Pakistan to win their series 2-1 last week. India will not have their first-choice team available during this series but will still put out a very strong XI in each game. They are playing a high level in this format and will be confident of going 1-0 up in the series. Although New Zealand will be without some of their most experienced players, they should never be underestimated. They beat India in an ODI series at the end of 2022 and will expect to be competitive in Hyderabad.

It is not the quickest wicket in India and we expect spin bowlers to get plenty of assistance from this pitch. Any score over 300 will be very hard to chase down in the second innings. The forecast is for hot and sunny conditions during daylight with the temperature up at 29 degrees.
No Injury. Will be added when there is an update

Without Kane Williamson, New Zealand always look a weaker side. Compared to the strength in depth that India have in their batting line-up, New Zealand’s batting is a bit of a worry. Two of the world’s best ODI sides will get this series underway and we expect India to get off to a winning start. Although New Zealand should never be written off, they have rested some of their most experienced players and touring India, in front of their passionate fans, is never easy at the best of times. With India’s batters displaying exceptional form at the moment, we are predicting an India victory. Considering the team combination, India is expected to win this match.
