The Indian team registered a comeback in the recently concluded 3-match T20I series against Australia. After losing the first match, India bounced back to win the 2nd and 3rd T20I to win the series 2-1. While they are without Rassie van der Dussen, the Proteas have a good mix of youth and experience and will fancy their chances of a win. The 1st T20I between India and South Africa is expected to be a close contest where team India will start as slight favorites due to a winning momentum on their back. Considering the team combination, India is expected to win this match.
