India and South Africa go head to head in the second of three ODIs on Sunday evening in Ranchi. South Africa won the opening game of the series by nine runs on Thursday in Lucknow. Chasing 250 for victory, India could only reach 240-8. Read on as we preview the game. This day-night ODI gets underway at the JSCA International Stadium at 13:30 local time. Although India lost for the first time in eight ODIs on Thursday, they still produced some excellent moments with both bat and ball. We expect them to come back and put in a stronger performance in this match. South Africa were excellent with the ball after an equally impressive batting display in the opening game. They will need to maintain the same levels in this ODI if they want to win the series.

This will be a good batting wicket in Ranchi and it would be no surprise if both teams made scores above 300. Wrist spinners should also get a good deal of spin from this pitch.
No Injury. It will be added when there is an update

With rain shaving 20 overs from the match on Thursday, the 40-over-aside nature of the game made it a slightly different ODI. Both sides may bat with a little bit more defensive awareness in this match. The 40-over aside fixture on Thursday produced a very entertaining game and we expect another close contest in Ranchi in this clash. South Africa have players in form with the bat throughout their side and a talented bowling attack all capable of picking up wickets. However, we expect India to fight back from the defeat and win this game. Considering the team combination, India is expected to win this match.
