After a closely fought IT20 series ended 2-1 to the hosts, India and Sri Lanka begin their three-match ODI series in Guwahati on Tuesday afternoon. IND vs SL, India won their last ODI by 227 runs against Bangladesh in December. Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan by four wickets at the end of November in their last match in this format. India have selected a very strong squad after giving fringe and young players opportunities in this format during 2022. There is quality and depth for every position in the squad ahead of this game. Sri Lanka will select many of the same players from Saturday’s final IT20 and they will need to play at a far higher level in this game.
India vs Sri Lanka – 1st ODI

There will be turn for the spinners but we expect a quick surface in Guwahati. A par score will be a minimum of 300 runs on this pitch. It will be sunny and warm across the first half of this game with the temperature up at 25 degrees. Expect the humidity levels to increase in the final hours of the match.
No Injury. Will be added when there is an update

No-balls were a big issue for India’s bowlers on Thursday. That will be an area they will want to cut down on ahead of this game. This series has been brilliant viewing with cricket fans from across the globe watching every ball in two very close contests. We expect this final match of the series to be just as competitive with both teams going hard at each other. Overall, we think the added pace and knowledge of home conditions will be key and we are backing India to win this game. Considering the team combination, India is expected to win this match.
