DC Vs RCB: Two of the older teams who have been around since the inception of the IPL but are yet to win a trophy take each other on. The Royal Challengers were hammered while bowling against CSK, but didn’t lose too badly as their side showed incredible courage and depth to make a fight out of the game. They lost by a mere 23 runs and some of their youngsters shined while Dinesh Karthik continued his nice tournament
The Delhi Capitals have blown hot and cold through the tournament. They dominated in the previous game with David Warner finding form and Kuldeep Yadav taking some key wickets. With the openers and Kuldeep Yadav doing well, the Delhi Capitals look much more balanced now.
Match: DC Vs RCB
Date: 16th April 2022
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
The weather is clear with no clouds and decent heat for the DC Vs RCB game. Dew is expected at some stage.
The Wankhede pitch has some grass on it and is likely to swing early on. The small boundaries make batting easy, while dew is a massive factor in taking spinners out of the game.
David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (capt & wk), Lalit Yadav, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Mustafizur Rahman
Faf du Plessis (capt), Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Shahbaz Ahmed, Josh Hazlewood, Wanindu Hasaranga, Suyash Prabhudessai, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep
David Warner
David Warner found form in the previous game and seems to be back to his IPL best. He is a legend in the tournament and after a poor season last year, David Warner has a lot of catching up to do from a personal point of view. He is enjoying his time at the Delhi Capitals and is forming a threatening partnership with Prithvi Shaw, which could help bring the best out of each other.
Virat Kohli
Virat Kohil has had a rather silent season. He made it past 40 twice, and on both occasions looked extremely fluent. In his other innings though, Virat Kohli was dismissed with ease and his form of old seems to be missing. He is normally a fixture in the top run charts of the season but this year Virat Kohli is far away from the top five and will be eager to get back to his prolific style of scoring.
Both teams come in with balanced line-ups and decent performances. Delhi Capitals in particular finally seem to be blooming with Warner and Kuldeep back in form, giving them a slight edge with Virat Kohli struggling in the RCB camp.
Match Prediction: DC will win the match.
