The latest test nations take each other on. Ireland are already on the board with a win while Afghanistan has one point. Both teams are doing well in patches and will look at this game as a chance to fine tune some holes in their line-up before they take on the bigger teams again.

The weather is good and a full game is on the cards.
The Melbourne track has some grass and is swinging wildy in the first few overs. Runs are likely to be tough early on and batting first will be a better option.

Over the last year, Josh Little has impressed a lot. He has pace, he is young and he is already proving that he can lead an attack. A good spell from him up front will be key for Ireland as they will rely on him for consistent breakthroughs throughout the innings.
Rashid Khan is Afghanistan’s biggest asset. If Afghanistan are to do anything in this World Cup, his set of 24 balls in each game are going to the key factor. While Melbourne is swinging a lot, it will be interesting to see how Rashid Khan brings his bag of tricks out.

Both teams are playing with a lot of courage and the game should be pretty interesting. Given the world class spinners on the Afghanistan side though, Afghanistan may come in as slight favorites.
