Brisbane start well with a win but they will start having availability concerns with both Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne in doubt for the next game. The same goes with Adelaide Strikers who start with a strong line-up, sans Rashid Khan and Peter Siddle, who switched sides now.

Matthew Short
Adelaide is full of talent but Matthew Short has been a specific one to watch. Over the last two seasons, he has been pretty prolific and is now in and around the national side as well, highlighting his good work over the recent few months.
Spencer Johnson
The last year has been pretty good for Spencer Johnson. After a lot of toil, he got into the national team and also impressed Josh Hazlewood with his pace. He is a talent to watch and with his left-arm angle, he could be seen as a replacement for Mitchell Starc in the years to come as well.
Brisbane Heat started the tournament well but their inconsistency remains a concern still.
