Two games in and both sides are on the board. They have a decent run-rate to show, and look pretty good to push on and compete for top spots. Both sides are pretty settled and with fewer players on national duty from both squads they have a strong side to fight with.
Date: December 23rd 2022
Time: 10:00 AM IST
Venue: Junction Oval, Melbourne
The Weather at Melbourne is pretty good for the upcoming game.
A flat track at Melbourne is expected and batting second will be a better option.
Played- 19 | Melbourne Stars -8 | Perth Scorchers – 11 | No Result- 0 | Tie- 0
Joe Clarke, Joe Burns, Marcus Stoinis, Hilton Cartwright, Nick Larkin, Clint Hinchliffe, Luke Wood, Adam Zampa, Nathan Coulter Nile, Trent Boult, Tom Rogers
Faf Du Plessis, Cameron Bancroft, Adam Lyth, Josh Inglis, Ashton Turner, Aaron Hardie, Jason Behrendorff, Jhye Richardson, Ashton Agar, Andrew Tye, Tymal Mills
At 33, Trent Boult begins his journey as a freelancer. His first game went well from a personal point of view as he took the new ball and also picked up two wickets. With the Stars losing though, he will have a greater role as Stars look to get on the board.
Josh Inglis has enjoyed an extended run in the national team and is rising up the ladder among the leading wicket-keeping batters in the country. He is an asset in the middle-order and can be really consistent in T20 Cricket when he gets going.

The Stars are doing well with the ball but Perth Scorchers may be better off with the balance they have in their line-up.
