Perth Scorchers are guaranteed to finish in the top two and may look at the following game as an opportunity to relax and experiment before the playoffs. Renegades are third but still have work to do though. At 12 points they still face threats from atleast four other teams and will need to win this game to consolidate their position in the top four.
Date: January 22nd, 2022

Venue: Perth
The Weather at Perth is pretty good for the upcoming game.
A flat track at Perth is expected and batting second will be a better option.
Played- 17| Melbourne Renegades -3 | Perth Scorchers – 14 | No Result- 0 | Tie- 0
Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Marcus Harris, Sam Harper, Jonathan Wells, Matt Critchley, Will Sutherland, Ruwantha Kellepotha, Tom Rogers, Kane Richardson, David Moody
Cameron Bancroft, Stephan Eskinazi, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis, Ashton Turner, Nick Hobson, Ashton Agar, Matthew Kelly, Andrew Tye, Jason Behrendorff, Lance Morris
It’s been a good season for Sam Harper. Runs are coming regularly and he has found consistency in a side with some experienced players, allowing him to grow as a cricketer consistently.
With Trent Boult out, Jason Behrendorff stepped up nicely as the left-arm pacer up front. He is getting the ball to move well and his form has helped Perth Scorchers fall in place after a relatively slow start in their tournament.

Perth Scorchers may rest some of their players and experiment in the upcoming game with their top two spot confirmed. With Scorchers resting players, Renegades may feel they have a better chance despite their head to head record.
