The BBL is kicking and two sides with contrasting results get ready for each other. The Scorchers looked pretty settled in their first win and early signs suggest they are in for another good tournament. The Hurricanes though were hammered with ease. Both batting and bowling had some alarming concerns. Its still early days and now that they are at home they will be seeking a little more comfort.
Date: December 21st, 2024
Time: 10:30PM IST
Venue: Bellerive Oval, Hobart
Clear weather and a nice evening is expected for the game.
Hobart was pretty good to bat on during the WBBL. Batting first though worked better with wear showing on the pitch as games passed.
Matthew Wade, Mitchell Owen, Shai Hope, Ben McDermott, Nikhil Chaudhary, Tim David, Chris Jordan, Nathan Ellis, Riley Meredith, Billy Stanlake, Waqar Salamkheil
Finn Allen, Keaton Jennings, Nick Hobson, Cooper Connelly, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis, Ashton Turner, Lance Morris, Jhye Richardson, Andrew Tye, Ashton Agar
Nathan Ellis
Captain Nathan Ellis fought alone in the first game. He got runs down the order to get Hobart at least above 50 but the overall performance from his teammates was pretty poor. He is leading from the front and his performances could inspire his teammates to support and build.
Lance Morris
Lance Morris has been in the national picture for a while in the last year. Australia are yet to unleash him completely with the big three still going strong but his chance will come soon.

The Hurricanes are at home but Scorchers look really good with their bowling and the line-up continues to look very solid.
