The Gabba awaits. Last time as well, both sides came to the Gabba 1-1 before an epic encounter. The Gabba though is fresh this time unlike last time when India toured later in the summer and the bounce could hence be a lot more challenging . The upcoming fixture though holds very important for the WTC and for the series. With South Africa whitewashing Sri Lanka and with two home Tests for them against Pakistan the final WTC spot is likely a shootout between India and Australia. Within the series itself, India will be hoping to find some support for Jasprit Bumrah. Mohammad Siraj did show up in Adelaide while Ashwin too got a good spell with the ball. Travis Head though proved to be a pain once more.

Venue: The Gabba, Brisbane
The weather looks a little concerning with light rain predicted over three of the next five days.
The bounce could be on the steeper side given Gabba is still pretty fresh early in the season. It is known to be a really good ground for pace and bounce and batting first would be better with uneven bounce increasing.

Mohammad Siraj
Mohammad Siraj has bounced back after a tough home season. Bowling in Australia, the pitch has made him feel at home and he is applying pressure really well with the ball seaming around as he demands it too. While Bumrah has been among the wickets, Siraj silently continues to do his work well as he did last time in Australia as well.
Marnus Labuschagne
While the talk generally is about Steve Smith's mammoth scores against India in the past and Travis Head's recent love for the Indian bowlers, Marnus Labuschagne is one to silently watch. On the last tour to Australia, Labuschagne was consistent in making crucial fifties, and a hundred as well, batting out time and silently irritating the Indian bowlers.
The Gabba still remains a ground Australia can be found at their strongest. Their bowlers are in pretty good form again and India's batting in the first innings along with their over reliance on Bumrah is a huge concern.
