The Delhi Capitals were the first side to get knocked out but they now have a chance of spoiling Chennai’s party, who are in contention for a top-two finish without having qualified yet. A win for Chennai takes them through and could put them in the top two while defeat leaves them waiting on other results. The Capitals cap a season to forget, and their performance at home in particular has been disappointing, despite their spinners doing a fine job all season.

Venue: Delhi
A warm evening with some dew is expected at Delhi.
The Delhi track has been unpredictable this season, and the Delhi players have expressed displeasure as it has nullified home advantage at the ground. With small boundaries though, batting second is a safer option despite the nature of the surface.

Shivam Dube
Shivam Dube has been the middle overs enforcer in the Chennai batting line-up. His big hitting has been very handy against spin and with small boundaries, and NRR a factor, he will have a huge role to play in the upcoming game if CSK are to make it to the next stage.
Mitchell Marsh
Mitchell Marsh single-handedly fought his way to keep DC in the game against the Sunrisers with both bat and ball. He, along with Axar Patel have shouldered the all-round duties well, and with the tournament heading into a do or die stage for them, Marsh will have to repeat his heroics a few more times.

The Chennai Super Kings need a win here but with Delhi likely to play with a lot more freedom and given Chennai’s batting form in the last few games, Delhi could go out on a high here.
