England vs India: After a long Test series that saw India lose in a disappointing manner, England is back in their favored colors. They start the white-ball leg with a set of T20Is and the first T20 has India playing a slightly diminished side. India, they have a lot to work on. They were poor in the last World Cup and with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli coming back together as the series progresses, India will finally be able to assess how prepared they are for the World Cup. There is a large set of players and a lot for India to assess, but for now, they will be hoping for some stability.
England is in a sense of new air as well. This is their first white-ball game after Eoin Morgan’s retirement. Jos Buttler takes over as a full-time skipper, having done the job in the past with a pretty good record. His legacy though begins now as a skipper and with the form, he is in, the moment is true with Jos Buttler. England too will be without their Test stars, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow, although both are in the T20I scheme still.

Both India and England are likely to stack their side with all-rounders. Furthermore, England may go with a pace-heavy attack, relying on Ali and Livingstone to handle the spin bowling department.
Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma‘s last T20I came in February. His IPL form was questionable and over the last few months, there have been a lot of questions about his and Virat Kohli’s presence in the shorter formats. When on the song though, Rohit Sharma can be one of the most elegant and explosive players. With him leading a depleted side he will have to step up and prove that he reminds critics that he can be a monster in T20 Cricket. His IPL form is normally not the greatest, but in the Indian blue, Rohit Sharma has been a beast in the past and he needs to show that he can still deliver in white-ball cricket.

Jos Buttler
Jos Buttler is leading the side and is in the form of his life. He loves challenges and facing India will definitely rev him up. With a quality side ahead of him, Jos Buttler is likely to be more dangerous an will be preparing himself to start his captaincy journey with a bang. With a solid batting line-up behind him, Buttler will be clear with his intentions and come out with a lot of positive intent, in a bid to haunt the Indians through this series.
Full strength or not, India’s T20 form is questionable when playing big sides. While they did a fair job in the recent months, this series is likely to be the biggest challenge for them after the recent South Africa series. They have their work cut out for them and unless Rohit Sharma finds his range with the bat, England are likely to be all over India.
