England Vs Pakistan, Match Preview

England Vs Pakistan: The first T20 was a complete run-fest, with Pakistan coming out on top against a strong England side. A Pakistan win seemed unpredictable before the match, but their record in T20Is may suggest otherwise. The batters who struggled in the ODI series came roaring to life in the shorter format. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan opened and did well, while Fakhar Zaman provided a late onslaught. Zaman was supported nicely by Mohammad Hafeez as they reached a high score in the first innings.

The second innings was just as destructive, with Jason Roy getting off to an early flier and Liam Livingstone making a quick century after returning from quarantine. Shaheen Shah Afridi bowed well with three wickets. The Pakistan bowlers chipped in with some handy contributions, and they didn’t allow England to get going in their run-chase.

The series is now heating up as England is down going into the second game. Not many would have imagined this scenario, but a Pakistan win will now seal the series. Pakistan continues their unpredictable habits, and they may hope for another collective performance as they close the series in the next game.

Eoin Morgan’s form is a concern as he scored a little above run-a-ball in the first game. His timing has been off, and Morgan will hope for some runs as he looks to push his weight in the side.

Weather report

The temperature is predicted to hover around 15°C on the matchday with 79 ratio and 6 km/hr wind speed. There are not any chances of precipitation during the sport .

Pitch Report

England Vs Pakistan: The weather has been evident at Headingly after a damp and soggy weak. The ground has provided some high-scoring fixtures, so a game with big runs seems on the cards yet again. With many runs on offer, batting second may be better despite the outcome of the first T20. Knowing the target may make the situation easier for the batting side.

England Vs Pakistan, Players to Watch out for

Mohammad Hafeez

Mohammad Hafeez played a brief but valuable inning in the first T20. At the age of 40, Mohammad Hafeez has transformed himself into a T20 batter and is one of the most explosive batters on the Pakistan side. He made 24 off ten balls, and his innings helped Pakistan get to 231.

Liam Livingstone

Liam Livingstone has just come out of quarantine and made a century without much training time. He was very explosive, and his innings showed his value as a limited-over batter. The innings may help him get off the bench, as Livingstone does spend a lot of time on the sidelines when the top side plays together. His innings consisted of 9 sixes, and Livingstone will be hoping to add to his tally as England look to get back in the series.

England Vs Pakistan, Team News

England Vs Pakistan: Jos Buttler didn’t play the first game as he is still recovering from a calf injury. The coach said that he would be returning for the upcoming match while Jonny Bairstow will also play. Jonny Bairstow suffered a slight finger injury in the first game but feels better now. With Buttler returning, Moeen Ali could drop out while Jordan and Rashid can also return after resting.

Pakistan is unlikely to make changes to its side after a triumphant win in the first game. The side has excellent balance, and the batting is deep and explosive.
