A new era begins for Bangladesh. They are without Shakib, who joins Tamim Iqbal, Mashrafe Mortaza and Mushfiqur Rahim in retirement and new faces are likely to be around. India too are still transitioning in a post Rohit-Kohli period and a lookout for Ravindra Jadeja's replacement as well is on. Exciting news though is the presence of Mayank Yadav in the squad. His rapid pace has turned eyeballs in the IPL but his fitness will be something to watch with his pace taking a huge toll on his body.

Sanju Samson
Opening the batting, Sanju Samson is probably into his final chances. He has been in and out of the Indian team for years, getting few chances and providing fewer performances with a lot of inconsistency. While he is one of the best in the IPL, his international career is still looking to take off and this series will be very important for him to prove that he is better than the numbers achieved in sporadic opportunities show.
Mehidy Hasan Miraj
Mehidy Hasan is in a huge purple patch at the moment. T20 Cricket though has him in a different role. He is a proper batter who may not have much to do with the ball at the moment, in contrast to Test Cricket where he is an all-rounder. Mehidy Hasan though will be looking to change perceptions on his ability in the shortest format with the ongoing series.
At home, India remain favorites despite being a little less experienced.
