Australia last played a Test in India 40 years ago and now come back to the Wankhede, the venue of their last Test in the country. They kick off a multi-format tour with a Test match as they look to transition with a new captain leading after Meg Lanning called time on one of the most illustrious careers going around in World Cricket.
India has a challenge of its own. Test Cricket for Women is rare and they are now preparing to play their second Test, four days after they wrapped up the one against England. A trial by spin is likely to await both sides though with England finding it tough to negotiate the Indian spinners on a wearing pitch.

The weather looks pretty clear for the upcoming fixture.
Mumbai generally uses red soil tracks which break down and take more spin as the game goes on.

Smriti Mandhana
Smriti Mandhana‘s looked pretty comfortable in the previous Test against England but could not convert here starts. With batting likely to be easiest against the new ball, Smriti Mandhana has to ensure that she does not give away momentum against the new ball
Jess Jonassen
Spin is going to play a huge part at Mumbai and the Australian spinners have a task on hand. She has watched a lot of Ravindra Jadeja in the lead-up to the game, and could look to match his accuracy, and if she does so successfully that would be a dangerous prospect for the Indian batters to face.
India dominated in the Test against England. Australia though is a different challenge. Both teams will have to take on a lot of spin and that could be wear India will find themselves backing themselves.
