LSG vs RR: Both teams are in good form and are in strong positions ahead of this encounter but still need a win to prevent any late-season pressure. With 16 points, the Lucknow Super Giants are well placed and a win here will help them seal a top four spot. For Rajasthan, the win does not mean they qualify, but it helps them escape the mid-table jostle and also helps them get away from the threat of teams that are looking to qualify on fourteen points.
Match: LSG vs RR
Date: 15th March 2022
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai
The weather is clear with no rain but occasional cloud cover for the LSG vs RR game.
The Brabourne Stadium has been given a small break, hosting only two of the last ten fixtures. Both fixtures saw the team batting first win as the pitch showed signs of wear in the second half, making it tough for new batters to start. Batting first is a better option given the difficulty for a new batter to find stability on the surface.
Quinton de Kock (wk), KL Rahul (capt), Deepak Hooda, Karan Sharma/Evin Lewis, Krunal Pandya, Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni, K Gowtham/Jason Holder, Mohsin Khan, Dushmantha Chameera, Avesh Khan
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (capt & wk), Rassie van der Dussen, Riyan Parag, R Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Sen
LSG are likely to remain unchanged while RR may bring in Jimmy Neesham for Rassie Van Der Dussen as they look to strengthen their batting line-up.

Marcus Stoinis
After some cameos in the start of the season Marcus Stoinis hasn’t done enough to make much of an impact. In a side full of all-rounders it could be argued that his potential isn’t being used effectively. In the last game, Marcus Stoinis came in to bat at number seven and didn’t bowl. He is a valuable player in both aspects though and if given a fair opportunity he could make a huge difference in the game.
Devdutt Padikkal
Devdutt Padikkal has been another one of Rajasthan Royal’s famous silent stars. He started the tournament in the middle order and was moved around a few times but is finally finding rhythm. In the last game, Padikkal scored very fast and made a valuable 48, which was slightly unnoticed. He is in good touch and has been consistent through the season, and is a key wicket for the opposition.
Both sides come into the game well balanced and picking a winner out of the two seems a tough task given their position on the table. The LSG batting line-up though has shown itself to be a little off against quality bowling and with Rajasthan having some wonderful bowlers they may be able to restrict the LSG armoury.
Match Prediction: RR will win the match.
