CSK’s strategy has changed this season. From strangling oppositions with spin they are adapting to the changing nature of the game, looking for big hitters on batting wickets. The Chepauk has helped them so far as well. It is still a touch slow, but not like the wicket of old where MS Dhoni would choke the runs in the middle overs using his spinners.
Another flat track though is likely to play in the hands of the Knight Riders. The Knight Riders are probably the most explosive side in the tournament with Sunil Narine and Andre Russell leading the way. The return of Gautham Gambhir has bought back Narine the pinch hitter who is delivering and making a huge impact on the game. With the Chennai attack not having much bite, the duo along with Rinku Singh will be licking their lips to get out and take on the bowlers once more.

Chennai, despite the seemingly changing nature of the track is a bat first wicket and will certainly take spin as the games go on.

Sunil Narine
Sunil Narine has been bossing the tournament with the bat. He is enjoying his role as a pinch hitter and the presence of Gautham Gambhir has once again made him a monster at the start. He loves spin, and Chepauk will likey help him find his range once more.
Rachin Ravindra
Rachin Ravindra is struggling after two good games to start. Runs are drying up and a return to Chennai could help him find his range again. His contribution up top is pretty important for the Super Kings especially with Ruturaj Gaikwad struggling to motor on.

Andre Russell vs Ravindra Jadeja: Ravindra Jadeja has a good match-up against Andre Russell. Russell though is in really good form and will be waiting for the same match-up to settle things between the pair.
KKR are in really good form while Chennai are losing rhythm after promising to show a really strong line-up. They are back at home though and if Chepauk plays like it used to Chennai could be favorites. If the nature stays similar to the first two games though KKR will back themselves to continue their strong record.
