Mumbai Indians are off to a loss yet again in the series but the way they went in the first game gives them certain points to be happy. For starters, they have yet another wonder story thanks to their famous scouting unit with Vignesh Puthur starring in his first ever competitive game. He has not played any domestic cricket and is certainly shaping up as a wonder story. Can he do the same on flat pitch though? Can Mumbai Indians do better with the bat as well. Their line-up struggled against spin in Chennai losing wickets in clusters.
Gujarat are off to a loss as well with Rashid Khan being taken down with ease. Their batting looks good despite not seemingly having much depth but the bowling, which is their strong point seems a concern. Siraj was picked up off easily as was Rabada and weapons with the ball might need to be found again.
Date: March 29th, 2025

Venue: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad
Clear weather and a nice evening is expected for the game.

Average Score Batting First in the last five games: 201
Average Score Batting Second in the last five games: 228
Wins Batting First in the last Five games: 2
Wins Batting Second in the last Five games: 3
Batting second seems a better option but with the slowness of the pitch batting first and getting runs on the board could be the better choice despite record saying otherwise.

Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav's form has been a touch of concern. His leadership for India was pretty good but the runs have dried up in the last few months. He has come into the IPL with little runs behind him the past only to find form in the long tournament and MI will be eagerly waiting to see if he does again.
Sai Sudharshan
Sai Sudharshan continues to roll well. His batting has been very efficient, playing good cricketing shots to get his runs while also maintaining a good strike-rate.
Both teams did not show up too well in the first game but Mumbai did put up a better fight. They have depth now with Pandya back and will look a little stronger.
