Hardik Pandya's first rescue act left Mumbai chasing a steep but getable total. The second rescue act though saw his side fall short with Pandya not getting his team over the line. There was also a debatable decision in retiring out Tilak Varma, who was struggling but still in the middle for long enough to turn it around. In the end, Mumbai fell to another defeat. The good though is Bumrah could be back. He has joined the camp and is available for the upcoming game. Mumbai's bowling has some good names and the presence of Bumrah could well give the others extra bite with someone there to apply pressure and support them.

Royal Challengers lost their first game of the season but will still be happy with a few things. Despite Virat Kohli not performing to his standards and a few wickets early, Bengaluru managed to get to a respectable total. The bowling too looked pretty good with Gujarat having to fight their way briefly to get to the target. Had it not been for a Jos Buttler special the game could have been closer.

Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Players to Watch

Tilak Varma

Tilak Varma, normally a batter capable of finding the ropes with ease struggled the other day. He was retired out and that is likely to disappoint him. He will be coming back with a lot to prove and attack more in the upcoming game.

Liam Livingstone

Livingstone seems to have found form in the previous game. He took time in the middle and showed flexibility in his ability to take the game deep and get a score for his side well.
