Last season’s champions take on a line-up with some of the best T20 players in the history of the game.
Date: September 3rd, 2023
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Bridgetown
It will be cloudy and humid throughout this fixture.
The nature of the new ground is uncertain but given the nature of the format, a flat pitch offering a lot of runs could be expected making it better for the side batting second.
Martin Guptill, Mark Dayal, Chadwick Walton, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, Akeal Hossein, Kadeem Alleyne, Jayden Seales
Brandon King, Steven Taylor, Shamarh Brooks, Raymon Reifer, Jermaine Blackwood, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, Fabien Allen, Hayden Walsh, Chris Green, Ben Cutting
Martin Guptill
After a year of globe-trotting in franchise Cricket, Martin Guptill will be very secure seeing the side he has. With a team of some of the most successful West Indies T20 batters, Guptill at the top will feel like he has a lot more cushion to go out there and have his fun.
Brandon King
After a good start to his career with the CPL few seasons ago, Brandon King has established himself as an opener for the West Indies. He is still looking for some solid scores, but at the moment is a core member. Now with leadership thrust upon him it will be interesting to see how he goes.
With form players and experience JT comes in with an advantage.
