Date: March 9th 2023
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Rawalpindi
The Weather at Rawalpindi is pretty good for the upcoming game.
With a flat pitch and short boundaries, a lot of runs are expected and batting second will be a better options.
Played- 16 | Islamabad- 9 | Lahore Qalandars- 7
Alex Hales, Rahmunullah Gurbaz, Colin Munro, Shadab Khan, Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Asif Ali, Mubasir Khan, Mohammad Wasim, Rumman Raees
Shaheen Afridi (C), Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafique, Kusal Mendis (Wk), Rashid Khan, Zaman Khan, Hussain Talat, Sikandar Raza, Ahmed Daniyal, Haris Rauf, Liam Dawson
Ashraf the finisher is on the rise. He handled pressure beautifully to take his side home in a really challenging chase in the previous game. With Ashraf scoring, and Asif Ali behind him, Islamabad’s batting depth and six-hitting ability in the middle-order will look a lot more threatening indicating some challenging times for the other sides.
After a bad game last week, Rashid Khan has come back to prove why he is one of the best bowlers going around in the domestic circuit. From bowling one of his most expensive spells, Rashid Khan came back with both wickets and economy and is now looking very dangerous. He has some history in head to heads with Babar Azam and the battle between the two will be fun to watch.
Islamabad were hammered last time they took on Lahore. However, with Islamabad’s middle-order strength growing there could be some interesting encounters coming up with Islamabad equalizing their record this season against Lahore.
