MS Dhoni takes on Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli, players who he had beside him for a good part of his career in the franchise and international cricket respectively. The Chinnasamy is likely to be buzzing soon with some really high-profile stars, and a vintage rivalry coming to them. Things are not going to be easy though. Both sides have some bowling concerns, and CSK will be a lot more concerned given the lack of experience in their pace attack, especially with Magala out now.

A warm evening is expected at Bangalore.
With small boundaries and dew, boundaries are going to come easy and batting second will be a no-brainer.

Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja has been getting a grip and turn and also seems to have found some of his rhythms with the bat. He has been a touch under used, but will be a huge player in the upcoming game, especially with the small boundaries providing a massive challenge to him with the ball.
Harshal Patel
With his slower balls and death bowling lacking the effect it did two seasons ago, Patel’s death bowling has been easier to pick for the batters. With Patel struggling, RCB’s results in the death have taken a hit, resurfacing old problems yet again.

Ravindra Jadeja vs Virat Kohli: Two long-time teammates, and two of the fittest players in the side have had a pretty good history in the IPL. Ravindra Jadeja has had a slight edge over Kohli with three wickets and has also kept the run flow low conceding 133 in 123 deliveries.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, with their balance and home strength come in as favorites against Chennai, who will struggle to contain on a flat track with small boundaries.
