Rajasthan has a lot to take away from their first game. Where do they start? The bowling was hammered by Hyderabad who put on 286, batting Rajasthan out of the game early. Jofra Archer, their spearhead, returned with expensive figures. The top order struggled but a major positive is the batting as Rajasthan still managed to get to 242. The bowling let them down but their batting will keep them believing for certain.
KKR on their end were let down by their middle-order. They were cruising in the opener until a collapse took them down giving Bengaluru an easy target to chase. Can the middle-order find their momentum? KKR will be relying on them to do so.

With slightly shorter boundaries, dew a factor in the northern parts of India and an easier track to bat on, Batting second remains a favourable choice.

Dhruv Jurel
Jurel looked solid at number five, taking on a daunting target and looking at ease. He has set himself up nicely as the bridge in the line-up but his results against leg spin could be a question with Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy up to challenge him.
Quinton De Kock
Following his retirement, Quinton De Kock has not really set the stage alight on the franchise level. He was at his worst last year and also in the SA20 and will be looking desperately for form with Sunil Narine helping him ease the pressure at the top.
Rajasthan Royals may have lost the first game but as a line-up they looked a lot more settled than the Knight Riders and could be a little more confident.
