SL Women vs Ind Women: The first ODI proved to be a little challenging for both sides. The ball spun, the batters struggled and the bowlers had a good time. India managed to chase down the score of 171 but lost six wickets in the process, highlighting how tough it was in the middle. From India’s point of view though, the batters did have a good time out in the middle, playing patiently and getting an idea of the conditions.

Deepti Sharma came up with a nice all-around performance in the first game. Three wickets and a patient contribution to guide her side home helped show the maturity she brings to the line-up. With the pitches turning and Deepti Sharma being an adaptable batter, she is a threat across the game.
Inoka Ranaweera
Inoka Ranaweera was pretty good in the T20Is and is continuing to do well in the one-day format. With the pitch taking considerable turns she is a dangerous prospect and will be a player to watch out for given her aggressive bowling.
Both sides fought well in the first game and with the pitch spinning another fight is expected from both teams. However, given the depth and quality, India are ahead coming into the game.
