Welsh Fire finally get a win after going an entire season without a victory. They look a little more settled now and it will be interesting to see if they can finally make a mark on the Hundred.
Date: August 4th, 2023
Time: 11:00 PM IST
Venue: Southampton
It will be cloudy and humid throughout this fixture.
The nature of the new ground is uncertain but given the nature of the format, a flat pitch offering a lot of runs could be expected making it better for the side batting second.
Joe Clarke, Luke Wells, Stephen Eskinazi, Chris Cooke, David Willey, Tom Abell, Glenn Phillips, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Roleof Van Der Merwe, Ben Green
Devon Conway, Finn Allen, James Vince, Alex Davies, Leus Du Ploy, Tim David, Jofra Archer, Mitchell Santner, Craig Overton, Rehan Ahmed, Tymal Mills
Joe Clarke
Joe Clarke was a standout performer last year with some consistent scores in the top-order. He has done pretty well in the domestic season as well and a good season here could see him put pressure on the national team selectors.
Rehan Ahmed
Rehan Ahmed has had a pretty good year. He has travelled with the English national team a fair bit and even made his Test debut only to find himself a little undercooked. Getting back to playing in front of some big crowds though will do his confidence a world of good as he looks to improve his ability under pressure.
Southern Brave might fancy themselves here with the way their recent games have gone, especially at the bigger stages of the tournament.
