Super Kings vs MI is normally a huge blockbuster encounter in another part of the World and with the core of both sides still around a thriller could be expected once more with Kieron Pollard in the spotlight given his love for bowlers in yellow.
Date: July 18th, 2023
Time: 6:00 AM IST
Venue: Grand Prairie
It will be cloudy and humid throughout this fixture.
The nature of the new ground is uncertain but given the nature of the format, a flat pitch offering a lot of runs could be expected making it better for the side batting second.
Faf Du Plessis, Devon Conway, Cody Chetty, Sami Aslam, David Miller, Mitchell Santner, Lahiru Milantha, Milind Kumar, Dwayne Bravo, Daniel Sams, Gerald Coetzee
Steven Taylor, Shayan Jahangir, Dewald Brevis, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, David Wiese, Rashid Khan, Tim David, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult, Jason Behrendorff
Dwayne Bravo
Dwayne Bravo is back as a player in yellow after spending the last few months coaching the Chennai Super Kings bowlers. At 39 it will be interesting to see what new tricks he has up his sleeve with a lot of experience behind him.
Kieron Pollard
Kieron Pollard is back as a player for Mumbai and he, unlike Bravo has a fair amount of cricket left him. After coaching for a few months, Pollard will be excited to head back out in the middle and will want to be at his explosive best.
TSK and MI both look settled with most of their players having played together in the franchise circuit and with their current franchises for most of their careers. TSK though with a really good spin attack will probably be favorites with the mystery they can provide in the middle overs.
