The Indian Women's team come into the tournament with a lot of confidence. They had the disappointment of losing out in the Finals of the Asia Cup, highlighting continued struggles in the back end of tournaments. Their line-up though retains a lot of strength and they will be eager to make the most of this tournament especially having seen their male counterparts do the job from their end.
New Zealand though will be looking a little deeper. In most ICC Events, they stand silent, calmly going about their business. New Zealand though do not make a significant amount of noise to call themselves favorites but here they will be hoping to perform well enough to get into the spotlight.

A hot evening with dew is expected.
With the game in the evening, there will be some dew. It is still the second game of the day though and the pitch will be worn. However, with dew a huge factor, spin will make less of an impact as the game goes on and that will make it better for sides batting second.
Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodriguez, Harmanpreet Kaur, Yastika Bhatia, Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, Shreyanka Patil, Pooja Vastrakar, Radha Yadav, Renuka Singh
Suzie Bates, Georgia Plimmer, Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine, Brooke Halliday, Maddy Green, Isabelle Gaze, Hannah Rowe, Rosemary Mair, Eden Carson, Fran Jones
Shreyanka Patil
Shreyanka Patil has been in good touch in recent times. She is having a good time and was good in the WPL as well. With spin likely to play a role while the ball stays dry she will have a job on hand as she looks to combine with her fellow spinners to strangle the New Zealand batters.
Amelia Kerr
Amelia Kerr continues to progress with a lot of strength. She is a menace with both bat and ball and her contributions are well known. With New Zealand likely to start transitioning in the coming years, she becomes a crucial part of the line-up with age on her side significantly.
Both New Zealand and India tend to become underperformers at World Cups. India though are not as silent with their performances and with the line-up they have they could be backing themselves to get past New Zealand.
